Nicholas Ottone
Nicholas Ottone is a Ph.D. candidate in political science, focusing on American politics and quantitative methods. His substantive interests include local and state politics, public policy, and political behavior. In his dissertation, The Policy Influence of Non-Profit Service Providers, he draws on case studies of four U.S. cities to develop and test a theoretical argument which explains variation in non-profit political activity and influence across and within municipalities. Other ongoing and published work include papers on the electoral effects of U.S. prison construction, the efficacy of identity-based campaigns, and an experimental test of group diversity on individual decision-making. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. Link to personal website.
