Kevin DeLuca is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Resident Fellow at the Institution for Social and Policy Studies. His research interests include political economy and representation, with a focus on electoral politics, election laws, and the role of the media in the political process. His recent work examines different methodological issues related to redistricting, and explores the historical and contemporary influence of local newspapers on politics in the United States. He received his Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and both his B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
