Christina M. Kinane is the 2021 recipient of the E. E. Schattschneider Award which is presented annually by the American Political Science Association (APSA) to honor the best doctoral dissertation in the field of American government. Her dissertation explores questions about why Presidents seek Senate confirmation for some positions while leaving others empty or with temporary appointments. Christina Kinane is an Assistant Professor of Political Science, a Resident Fellow in the Institution of Social and Policy Studies, and a faculty affiliate of the Center for the Study of American Politics at Yale University.
