Bio:

Conor Dowling is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Mississippi. His research and teaching interests are in American Politics, where he studies both mass and elite political behavior with a substantive focus on issues of electoral competition, representation, and public policy.

“I had the privilege of spending time as a postdoctoral associate at the Center for the Study of American Politics at Yale immediately following completion of my PhD. CSAP provided an intellectually stimulating environment that spurred me to think about new ideas and approach research questions in a variety of ways. My time there also led to many scholarly partnerships (and friendships) that continue to further my scholarly career. In short, my time at CSAP was incredibly beneficial, and I am extremely appreciative of the time I spent there.”
