QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH METHODS WORKSHOP
Abstract: We explore the accuracy of academic and policy experts in forecasting the long run effects of a development economics intervention in the context of a randomized controlled trial in Sierra Leone.
Katherine Casey is an Associate Professor of Political Economy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her research explores the interactions between economic and political forces in developing countries, including the impact of government reforms and external interventions on institutional strength and economic growth. She is particularly interested in the role of information in enhancing political accountability and the influence of foreign aid on economic development.
